Newsletter of November!
02/11/2007

It´s at this time of the year, when the clocks go back and the dark evenings start at around six o'clock, that reality sets in, it´s suddenly Autumn/Winter in the Algarve. The difference is that the sun is shining, the sky is blue without a cloud in sight and the thermometer is hitting 24ºc.

This is all within 3 hours of most European airports, in fact I know of visitors to the Algarve that can make the trip in 5 or 6 hours, door to door, from freezing cold temperatures, miserably dark mornings and grey late afternoons, to glorious sunny days on the beach in the time it takes many people to commute to and from work. With an increasing number of no frill flights from various airports, there really is no reason not to jump on a plane and take a break from the long and depressing Winters of Northern Europe.

As far as real estate activity is concerned, we are still receiving an acceptable number of enquiries on a regular basis, in the wake of the "panic" of the Northern Rock fiasco and the "sub-prime" lending situation in the USA , we are really not feeling any effect of this latest "scare", why would we! This market place is quite unique and for the most part detached from any kind of banking hysteria, most of our clients are very capable of funding, one way or the other, the purchase of a property in the Golden Triangle, and consequently able to ride out whatever storm may periodically pop up.
In our opinion prices will remain stable and constant.
